Here is a recipe for Salsa Verde (Green Salsa). I want to share this recipe with you all because my family absolutely loves it. Someone told me quickly how to make this salsa and I could only remember two of the ingredients so I decided to add other ingredients over the years and have come up with a fabulous Salsa Verde.
Ingredients
- Tomatillos
- Cilantro
- Salt
- Dried Arbol Red Peppers
- Fresh whole jalapeno pepper
- 1 Lime
- Garlic
Instructions:
WASH and CLEAN ALL VEGGIES FIRST
In a medium sized sauce pan put water in the pan and place (cleaned washed) Tomatillos in the water to boil. Add dried Red pepper and jalapeno pepper. Boil until the veggies become soft. It may take about 20 minutes on medium or high.
Next, carefully pour out the water. Put all ingredients in a food processor, add a pinch of salt, about 1/3 of the bunch of cilantro. Make sure you cut off the stems of the cilantro. Squeeze 1/2 of the lime into the food processor, add 2-3 pieces of peeled garlic.
Turn on the food processor and blend all ingredients.
Voila, get some chips and don’t hurt yourself eating. This dip is so good you will want to put it on everything.
