If not now, when

How many times have you told yourself that you are going to start eating better and you are going to start working out?

If you are anything like me, and I’m sure you are, you’ve said this a hundred times.

I have often wondered what makes us not follow through with things that we know we should follow through with?

We only have one life to live and this is it. If we don’t make a choice to change our eating habits, we may not live out our dull destiny.

We aren’t getting any younger and the world is moving at a much faster pace now more than it ever has in the past.

The more we remain unhealthy, the more we will make visits to the doctor’s office.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of paying for unnecessary office visits.

We must FIND our WHY.

Everyone has a reason why they should get healthier and everyone has a million and one (1,000,001) excuses when it comes to doing what needs to be done.

This post doesn’t need to be very long. I’m only stating the obvious, but sometimes you have to see it in black and white in order to believe it.

Today is THE day to start small. Take each day one step at a time.

  • Walk
  • Run
  • Walk around your house 5 times
  • Take one set of stairs each day.
  • Don’t use the escalator at the mall. Use the stairs.
  • Walk the dog
  • Log your meals
  • Purchase a pedometer & start increasing your daily steps.
  • Cut back on sweets. Eat fresh fruit instead.
  • When you eat burger throw away the top bun and ONLY eat the bottom bun.
  • Cut down on sodas per day.

No pressure, but you have to do something today, then tomorrow, then the next day, and so on.

Life is a journey. We all want to live this one the best we know how.

So, I ask you, “If not now, when.?”
