Yummy Burnt Carrots

carrots2I saw a similar recipe on “The Chew,” but I couldn’t find the actual recipe so I’m going to type this from what I think I can remember.  Let me know if you try them and how good they are too you.  I love them.

The natural sugars in the root vegetables, along with brown sugar will assist in caramelizing your veggies.   Your kids will love to eat these carrots.

Ingredients

Servings: 8

  • pounds carrots, peeled, halved lengthwise, cut into 4-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  •  Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
  • Pure cane sugar
  • Honey

Preparation

  •  Toss carrots with oil in a medium sized bowl; season with salt.
  • Put a little olive oil in pan and heat on stove top.
  • Pour vegetables from bowl to medium heated pan.
  • Cook on stove top until you can see blackened singes on the carrots. Make sure to turn on both sides.
  • This should take approximately 8–10 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer vegetables from pan to a platter and sprinkle with Pure can brown sugar and drizzle with honey.
  • Serve to your family/kids luck warm
