I saw a similar recipe on “The Chew,” but I couldn’t find the actual recipe so I’m going to type this from what I think I can remember. Let me know if you try them and how good they are too you. I love them.
The natural sugars in the root vegetables, along with brown sugar will assist in caramelizing your veggies. Your kids will love to eat these carrots.
Ingredients
Servings: 8
- 1½ pounds carrots, peeled, halved lengthwise, cut into 4-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
- Pure cane sugar
- Honey
Preparation

Toss carrots with oil in a medium sized bowl; season with salt.

Put a little olive oil in pan and heat on stove top.

Pour vegetables from bowl to medium heated pan.

Cook on stove top until you can see blackened singes on the carrots. Make sure to turn on both sides.

This should take approximately 8–10 minutes on each side.

Transfer vegetables from pan to a platter and sprinkle with Pure can brown sugar and drizzle with honey.
